New Delhi: Cairn Oil and Gas, India’s largest private oil and gas exploration and production company, part of the Vedanta Group, has appointed Rodney Smith as General Counsel.

Rodney brings over twenty-five years of legal experience in supporting domestic and international oil & gas projects and operations, with past tenures at Anadarko Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, and Helmerich & Payne.

In his new role, Smith will be responsible for leading Cairn's legal strategy and streamlining processes to drive efficiencies and enhance performances. He will also identify and collaborate with global business partners to ensure robust contracts, strong legal assurance, and effective risk mitigation.
